Hello!
I’m Brad Allen, the new Golf Course Superintendent of The Links at Heartland Crossing! I’m very excited to be here and I am looking forward to great improvements throughout the facility over the next several seasons.

I’m originally from Danville IN. I received my turfgrass degree from Penn State University. I’m happily married to my wife Karly and we have twin boys, Logan and Carter, that are 3 1/2. This is my 12th year as a Superintendent and my 21st year working on a golf course.

When I look around TLHC I can see the years of neglect slowly melting away which will lead to a facility we can once again brag about. IT WILL TAKE TIME! Simply, our first year we will be focused on getting grass back, repairing the irrigation system, and fixing equipment we inherited that was seriously neglected. Our turf recovery plan focuses on thatch removal in greens and collars with aerification and topdressing, sodding or seeding dead spots, and keeping turf healthy.

We will be addressing bunkers, drainage, weeds, and course details as we go along during the season and into next year. However, we must have good turf before anything else.
We will be sending out updates, pictures, and progress reports as we go along. I look forward to meeting everyone and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me or stop me on the course.

Thank you for your support and patience in this process!
